Man Crashes Into House, Gets DUI Arrest

News Maven / The Key News Network reported recently that a driver was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Los Angeles on the evening of Friday, March 5, 2021 after crashing into the living room of a house in the La Canada Flintridge neighborhood. 

According to a news release issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office and information from the L.A. County Fire and Rescue Department, the incident took place between 11:30 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Friday, March 5, 2021 near the intersection of Crown Avenue and Knight Way in La Canada Flintridge. A local homeowner was woken up by a loud noise and called 911, believing his home had been broken into, found a Mercedes-Benz in his living room, along with the Mercedes’ driver. 

Paramedics with Los Angeles County Fire evaluated the Mercedes driver, who did not complain of any injuries and requested only an ice pack. However, L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies, upon conducting a field sobriety test, determined that the man was under the influence of intoxicants and he was arrested on suspicion of DUI. 

The homeowner was uninjured, and the Los Angeles County Building and Safety Department was notified of the incident. We are relieved to know that no one in the home was harmed in the incident.
