Complicated DUI Case in Las Vegas

A fatal car crash has claimed the lives of two young men over the weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to police, the two victims were in a Hyundai Sonata that was executing an illegal u-turn. Their vehicle was struck by a Chevrolet Camaro that was driven by someone who is suspected of DUI.

22-year-old Jermaine Asher and 23-year-old Robert Roberts were identified as the victims. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Willie Worthams, 25, was the driver of the Camaro. He was transported from the scene to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

Evidence from the scene and witness statements indicate that the Camaro was traveling at a high rate of speed, well over the posted speed limit, when it struck the Hyundai.

Worthams displayed signs of impairment according to police. He was booked on two counts of driving under the influence involving death and two counts of reckless driving involving death.
