Two Killed In Huntington Beach Wreck

NBC Channel 4 News Los Angeles reported recently that the Huntington Beach Police Department released the names of two victims killed in a crash in Huntington Beach on the evening of Tuesday, January 19. 

According to officials from the Huntington Beach Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, two victims, one a man 19 years of age and one a woman 71 years of age, died in a three-vehicle accident that took place between 6:40 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach. A Sunset Beach man 35 years of age was booked on suspicion of drunken driving for his role in the accident. 

The Sunset Beach man was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck north on Pacific Coast Highway when he allegedly veered across the center median and collided with a 1999 Toyota Solara and 2012 Lexus RX350, both in the southbound lanes. The driver of the Lexus was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Solara was declared dead at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange as a result of the injuries he sustained during the motor vehicle accident.
