Over the weekend in Rancho Palos Verdes California, Los Angeles Sheriffs arrested a suspected drunk driver. He was allegedly involved in a street race which caused him to lose control of his car. The car then crashed into the side of a commercial building which was under construction, causing it to catch fire.
Lt. John Butcher reported that the suspect and two passengers were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. While the suspect was not named, he was arrested under suspicion of DUI. The driver of the other car fled the scene. Authorities are looking for a silver Ford Mustang believed to have been involved in the street race.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly. The building was still damaged.
