Player for LA Rams Arrested for Alleged DUI in Encino

One of the players for the Los Angeles Rams was arrested under suspicion of DUI following a wreck involving a tractor-trailer over the weekend.

25-year-old Troy Hill, a cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams, was arrested early Saturday morning after an accident on the 101 Freeway in Encino.

Police received a call around 7:43 a.m. about a crash that had taken place on the westbound 101 Freeway. The accident was located just south of Haskell boulevard. Involved in the crash was a white Mercedes-Benz C350 and a semi-truck.

When officers arrived, they began conducting an investigation in which one of the drivers identified himself as Hill. He informed officers that he played with the Rams. Authorities were able to learn that Hill had been traveling at about 60 m.p.h. in one of the lanes prior to the accident.

During the course of the accident investigation, officers said that Hill displayed signs of being intoxicated. They conducted a field sobriety test and determined that Hill was under the influence. He was then placed under arrest.

Hill was taken to LAPD’s Van Nuy’s jail and booked on suspicion of DUI. He later posted $15,000 bail and was released.

In response, the Los Angeles Ram’s released a statement pertaining to Hill’s arrest:

“We are aware of the incident involving CB Troy Hill that occurred Saturday morning. As it is an ongoing legal matter and we are still gathering information, we will have no further comment at this time.”

The statement also added that he would not be playing in the game on Sunday.
