One Killed, One Injured In DUI Wreck

My News LA reported recently that a driver suspected of operating his motor vehicle under the influence (DUI) was recently injured in an El Monte crash that left another motorist dead. 

According to officials from the El Monte Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Sunday, December 13 in El Monte, CA, near the intersection of Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road. While exact details of the accident remain few, it is known that both motorists were alone in their vehicles. The driver of the other vehicle is confirmed to have been pronounced dead of the injuries sustained in the wreck after being medically transported to a local hospital. The allegedly drunk driver was apparently behind the wheel of a truck at the time of the accident and while he was rushed to a local hospital, police have not disclosed the extent of his injuries or whether he was arrested as a result of the tragic and deadly accident.
