Man Crushed Trying to Repair Car on Street Shoulder

One driver from Claremont is now facing DUI and other charges after crashing into a vehicle under repair.

According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, a man from Glendora was on the side of the road working on his broken car. He was on Grand Avenue near Arrow Highway. A driver slammed into the back of the vehicle and crushed the first driver. Despite going to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The responsible driver attempted to leave the scene, but his car broke down about a half mile from the other vehicle. That driver has now been charged with vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI, and hit-and-run.
