Las Vegas Raiders’ Marshawn Lynch Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

The Bleacher reports that the former Super Bowl-winning running back for the Seattle Seahawks, the Buffalo Bills, and the Oakland Raiders, Marshawn Lynch, was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Las Vegas on Tuesday, August 9.

According to a statement released by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD), officers stopped Lynch near the Las Vegas Strip at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and West Utah Avenue.

According to eyewitness accounts, at approximately 5:45 a.m, Lynch, driving a 2020 Shelby GT500, got out of the car and sat on the curb near the vehicle. The door of the car was left wide open.

During the traffic stop, LVMPD officers determined Lynch was exhibiting clear signs of intoxication and placed him under arrest. He was taken to the Las Vegas City Jail and booked on the charges of suspicion of DUI, failure to or refusing to surrender proof of insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, and failure to drive in a designated travel lane.

Later that day, photos obtained by TMZ Sports and released via Twitter show the car’s left front tire rim with no tire on it and resting on the pavement along the roadside.

A Las Vegas judge has set Lynch’s trial for December 2022.
