Las Vegas Raiders Defensive End Arrested for DUI

TMZ Sports reports that the defensive lineman for the Las Vegas Raiders, Janarius Robinson was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of DUI.

In a statement, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department said that officers stopped Robinson near the Aria Resort & Casino at approximately 6:00 a.m. After being interviewed by responding officers, he was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Later, Las Vegas officials listed the arrest as a misdemeanor charge of DUI, a first-time offense.

After the Raiders brought the 2023 – 2024 season to a positive end, the arrest of the 25-year-old Robinson just a few days before the Super Bowl is a shock. Robinson, who formerly played for the Vikings and later for the Eagles in 2022, has been residing in Las Vegas and playing for the Raiders this past year.

The NFL has made a push to ensure that players across the league don’t involve themselves in gambling trouble while in ‘Sin City’. With incidents involving players like Robinson or family members such as the father of Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Sr. being charged with DUI, the league has been given its fair share of headaches over the past week.

It’s unclear how the NFL will handle Robinson’s situation. In the past, the league has levied both suspensions and fines to players who get into trouble.
