General Hospital’s Haley Pullos Facing Lawsuit After DUI Crash in Pasadena

Fox 11 reports General Hospital star Haley Pullos is being sued by the other driver in a wrong-way, hit-and-run DUI crash in Pasadena in April.

According to court documents, the victim is suing Pullos over a crash along the 135 Freeway on April 29. At approximately 1:30 a.m., Pullos was driving her 2019 Ford Bronco westbound in the eastbound lanes of the freeway when she collided with a 2020 Kia.

First responders and the California Highway Patrol arrived on the scene and had to extricate Pullos from the wreckage of her vehicle with the Jaws of Life. Both Pullos and the other driver were transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Eventually, Pullos was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Toxicology tests would later confirm that the 24-year-old actress had a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit of .08 percent and had been high on marijuana edibles at the time of the crash.

Investigators say that Pullos recklessly drove her vehicle the wrong way onto the off-ramp at Colorado Boulevard and into the eastbound lanes. She nearly collided with eyewitness Gerald Legaspi, who was able to swerve out of the way of Pullos’ oncoming vehicle just in time.

Following Legaspi’s vehicle, the victim had no time to react to Pullos’ oncoming vehicle. The head-on collision “caused severe damage and lasting injuries,” prosecutors said.

During her rescue, Pullos allegedly began hitting firefighters, shouting profanities at them about her expensive blouse.

Pullos was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving the wrong way on the freeway. Additional charges of DUI resulting in injury were eventually filed against the actor.

Pullos later announced that she would take time off from her role at General Hospital. She and her father were later spotted before checking into rehab at the Malibu Detox and Residential Treatment Center for 90 days.

Soap Opera Digest reports that Pullos’ role on the show has been temporarily recast.
