Fox Gameshow Host Arrested for DUI Hit-and-Run

People reports that comedian and host of Fox’s “Who the Bleep Is That?” was arrested over the weekend for DUI hit and run after a crash in Burbank on Sunday.

According to a statement released by the Burbank Police Department, the 40-year-old television personality was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a traffic collision.

Police dispatchers received a report of the single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Pass Avenue and Alameda Avenue at approximately 9:30 a.m.

“Witnesses relayed the driver of a white Tesla collided with a tree, and the driver fled on foot,” Sgt. Stephen Turner, Public Information Officer for the Burbank Police Department, told reporters. “Based on the witness description, the driver was located just a few blocks east of the scene and detained pending an investigation.”

Dye was arrested at approximately 9:58 a.m. and booked into Burbank Jail. He was later released that afternoon following a magistrate review.

“No other vehicles were involved, and nobody was injured,” Sgt. Turner said.

Dye’s attorney, Daniel B. Leventhal, told reporters that although no one was injured, this was a traumatic event for his client. “We ask that you reserve judgment and respect his privacy as I take care of this matter,” Leventhal said. “He is presumed innocent.”
