DUI Suspect Kills Man In Orange Accident

County News You Can Use reported recently on a tragic motor vehicle accident in the Orange County area that occurred when an alleged repeat DUI suspect crashed into a local teenager that had been walking home from work on the evening of Wednesday, May 19, 2021, killing him.

According to a news release issued by officials with the Orange Police Department, the incident took place between 10:05 p.m. and 10:10 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 near the intersection of North Tustin Street and East Heim Avenue in Orange. A white 2002 Ford F-250 pickup truck, driven by an Orange man 39 years of age, was traveling southbound when it allegedly ran a red light and struck a local teen, 19 years of age, as he walked home from work. 

The man stopped and shook the teen’s corpse, telling him to wake up, before police showed up to detain him. According to police officials, the man’s driver’s license had already been suspended from a previous DUI conviction in Los Angeles County, and he was wanted for a felony warrant issued in Sacramento County. He allegedly told cops he’d consumed seven drinks at a nearby strip club.
