Hoodline reports that a suspected DUI motorist has been charged on suspicion of DUI after they crashed into a vehicle disabled from a previous two-vehicle crash. Additional people gathered at the scene were also injured.

According to the incident report filed last month by the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash happened on December 18, 2023, at approximately 1:16 a.m. officers responded to a crash along the Imperial Highway at the 110 Harbor Freeway exit ramp.

As the officer was investigating the collision, another vehicle heading eastbound crashed into one of the other vehicles involved in the previous crash. The driver of the disabled vehicle, a passenger, and a friend, who had also come to the scene to help, were standing on the pavement.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene to treat those injured. One of those injured in the secondary crash required urgent care and had to be transported to an area hospital for treatment.
