The Orlando Sentinel reports on country singer Michael Ray being arrested for DUI.
29-year-old country music singer Michael Ray was arrested at about 4 a.m. on December 21st. Eustis police conducted the arrest after he crashed into the car in front of him at a McDonald’s drive-thru. He was arrested under his birth name, Michael Ray Roach.
While driving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, Ray claimed that his foot slipped, causing his vehicle to propel forward, smashing into the back of the 2016 Toyota Scion that was in front of him.
The arresting officer said that Ray had bloodshot eyes, stumbled as he walked, slurred his speech, and smelled of alcohol.
Police searched ray and found a bottle of brown liquid inside. Ray told police that it was “weed oil.” Ray claimed ownership of the bottle.
Ray was released from Lake County Jail on a $6,000 bond.
Ray’s hit single “Kiss You in the Morning” was released in 2015.
