Canyon County Man Arrested for DUI after Crash

A driver in Canyon Country, California was arrested under suspicion of DUI last week. The arrest came after the driver’s vehicle struck a tree off of Placerita Canyon Road near Sand Canyon Road. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. last Tuesday.

Rescue workers had to use heavy equipment to extricate the driver from his Toyota Prius. He was then transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, having suffered moderate injuries from the collision. After being checked out in the hospital, he was arrested and released.

A witness stated that a couple of bottles of alcohol were found in the vehicle, leading to the arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The suspect’s name has not yet been released.
