Be Careful of the Patrols Tonight!

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day, and you know what that means. A whole lot of Irish spirit, late partying, and way too much green beer. The police are going to be on the lookout for drunk drivers this evening and all through the weekend, especially since the day falls on a Friday this year.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the LA County Sheriff’s Department and several other local law enforcement agencies will be increasing patrols throughout the area over the holiday weekend. The holiday is known for a high rate of DUI deaths, especially between midnight and 6 AM.

You can be a responsible party-goer if you follow certain precautions beforehand. If you plan on drinking to excess, make sure you have a way to get back home that doesn’t involve you getting behind the wheel. Call a taxi or get a friend to be a designated driver. If you see someone trying to get behind the wheel drunk, stop them before they get on the road. And if you see a suspected drunk driver on the road, call the police.

While many people will get smashed this weekend, there may also be people who do drink responsibly but still get pulled over and charged. If you are charged with DUI, you need to defend yourself. Our law office can help you fight your DUI and save your license. Call us as soon as possible after your arrest for a free consultation.
