Oxygen.com reported recently on a Los Angeles socialite who has been charged with various crimes after a tragic accident, allegedly the result of drunk driving, which led to the death of two young brothers in the Los Angeles area.
The Los Angeles woman, 57 years of age, faces two counts of vehicular manslaughter after the incident according to KNBC Los Angeles. The incident took place on September 29th, shortly after 7:00 p.m., in the Westlake Village neighborhood. Two brothers, ages 9 and 11, were attempting to cross a street in a marked crosswalk with their family when they were struck by a vehicle. Their parents were able to pull two other siblings out of the car’s path but were helpless to save the two brothers.
One of the brothers was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while the other was taken to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries hours later.
The suspect’s white Mercedes was found about a half-mile from the scene with noticeable front-end damage and the socialite is accused of fleeing the scene of the accident.
A second vehicle is believed to have been involved, and authorities are still searching for that vehicle. Anyone with relevant info is asked to call the authorities.
