Tiffany Haddish Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

TMZ reports that ‘Girls Trip’ star Tiffany Haddish was arrested in Peachtree City, Georgia, on the charge of suspicion of DUI after she allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.

Georgia investigators believe that the comedian had been smoking marijuana prior to her arrest on Friday.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday, January 14, Peachtree Police officers responded to a 911 call regarding a driver asleep at the wheel on Highway 74. Officers came upon a vehicle matching the description given to 911 dispatch operators and made a traffic stop.

The 42-year-old Haddish had stopped her vehicle in the yard of a residence when the officers conducted the stop and spoke with Haddish. After questioning her and investigating Haddish’s vehicle, she was placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI and taken into custody without incident.

The Peachtree City Police Department and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department issued statements about Haddish’s arrest. They concurred that Haddish was held in custody for several hours after being arrested on suspicion of DUI and improper stopping on a roadway.

A judge set Haddish’s bail at $1,666. After paying the bond, Haddish left.

Friends of the star have speculated that her recent arrest may have stemmed from a recent breakup between Haddish and rap star Common.
