Teen Charged In Fatal Motor Accident

CBS Channel 2 / KCAL Channel 9 Los Angeles Local News and The Los Angeles Times reported recently that a young man, scion of a wealthy and well-connected family, is facing felony charges including vehicular manslaughter after a high-speed motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 that left a local woman dead. 

According to a news release issued on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 by officials from the Los Angeles Police Department as well as comments by spokespeople from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the young man, 17 years of age, was arrested on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 and the charges are proceeding through the judicial process. The incident took place between 5:05 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 along Olympic Boulevard at its intersection with Overland Avenue in Los Angeles. The suspect was allegedly driving a black Lamborghini Urus SUV eastbound on Olympic Boulevard when he allegedly collided with a silver, four-door Lexus making a left from westbound Olympic Boulevard onto southbound Overland Avenue.

The driver of the Lexus was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while the Lamborghini driver was transported to a local hospital. While there is no evidence he was driving under the influence ((DUI), he was charged with vehicular manslaughter The investigation is ongoing.
