Several news outlets, including Yahoo! News and ABC Channel 30 News, reported recently that a woman from Parlier, California is in police custody after allegedly causing a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident while intoxicated in Selma, CA on the morning of Monday, March 29, 2021.
According to officials with the Selma Police Department, the accident was reported between 1:00 a.m. and 1:15 a.m.Pacific Standard Time on Monday, March 29, 2021 near the intersection of Floral Avenue and A Street in Selma, a central California town southeast of Fresno. A woman from Parlier, CA, 26 years of age, was arrested after being accused of causing a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that resulted in a fatality while allegedly being under the influence of alcohol. Police allege the woman crashed into a Chevy Tahoe with her Honda Accord and then fled the scene; they found her vehicle near Floral Avenue and E Street and observed her running away from her car.
While searching the vehicle, police found a male passenger in the back seat, unconscious and suffering from major injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the accident.
