Santa Rosa DUI Crash Leads to Fatality

A May 22 DUI crash in Santa Rosa left one woman dead.

A man driving a truck left the roadway and then collided with a culvert on Llano Road at around 2:30 a.m. The female passenger in the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. She was reported to be about 35 years old.

The male driver, reported to be about 30 years old, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where he received treatment for moderate injuries.

California Highway Patrol Sgt. Blair Hardcastle reported that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident.

Llano Road was closed until 5:30 a.m. to allow authorities to investigate the scene.
