Roger Clinton To Be Charged with DUI

It was reported last month that Roger Clinton, half-brother to former president Bill Clinton, was facing DUI charges.  The possible charges stem from an arrest made on June 5.  Reports indicate that he had been driving erratically, prompting police to pull him over.

It now seems likely that Clinton will be charged with DUI in the incident.

Clinton was pulled over after being witnessed driving erratically along the Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach, California.  The arrest took place at about 7:20 p.m. according to police reports.

Clinton was given a screening test by police after being pulled over.  However, he refused to take a breathalyzer test at the police station.

Clinton was released shortly after on a bond of $15,000.

Redondo Beach prosecutors intend to file charges this week in Torrence.

Roger has a previous DUI arrest in 2001 in Hermosa Beach.  Ultimately, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.  In addition to these arrests, President Bill Clinton pardoned his half-brother on a 1985 charge of cocaine distribution before leaving office.
