Possible DUI Rollover Crash in Anaheim Leaves 1 Dead & 4 Injured

The Orange County Register reports a possible DUI crash in Anaheim on Sunday has left one person dead and four more, including three children, injured.

Orange County authorities say that the crash happened at approximately 6:00 p.m. near the FasTrak lanes near the Imperial Highway.

Video footage taken from OnScene TV shows a black pickup truck with major front-end damage and a white Toyota Corolla with heavy damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle.

One person in the pickup truck at the time of the crash was ejected from the vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts made by paramedics with Anaheim Fire & Rescue, the 24-year-old Riverside man died at the crash scene.

Surviving family members of the victim have been notified. 

An adult driver and three children were in the Toyota Corolla. Investigators have not disclosed which of the two vehicles rolled over in the collision. All four were transported to an area hospital to be checked out. Officials have not released any further information about their current condition.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. High speed is believed to have contributed to the fatal crash. However, intoxication by alcohol and/or drugs has not been ruled out.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
