Pedestrian Struck During Rose Bowl Parade

In Pasadena, California, a runner was struck by a vehicle along the route for the Rose Bowl Parade. The accident occurred on New Year’s morning. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Police spokesperson Lt. Kelly Evans stated that 40 year old Yuki Horne, of Los Angeles was later arrested. She is charged with suspicion of DUI. Horne struck the runner near Colorado and Sierra Madre Boulevards and continued driving.

The pedestrian was struck and received a head injury, which knocked her unconscious. She was transported to a nearby hospital. Initially, police reported her condition as serious, but she was later downgraded to stable condition.

The name of the victim was not released.
