It can be agreed that people who drive while under the influence are criminals. They have committed a crime, after all. However, even people who are drunk must eat. They should, however, make sure they finish their order at the drive-through before falling asleep.

In Gainesville, Florida, a man was arrested after falling asleep at the drive-thru of a Taco Bell restaurant.

Police reports indicate that John Edward Hopwood, 25, fell asleep early Friday morning before he could place his order at the drive-thru at Taco Bell. A restaurant worker was able to wake Hopwood up and he pulled forward to wait in a parking spot for food. Hopwood had never placed an order.

Police arrived on the scene and had to awaken Hopgood yet again. At this point, police initiated a field sobriety test which Hopgood failed. He declined to take a breathalyzer test.

Hopgood told police that he simply fell asleep while waiting for his tacos. Police confirmed with Taco Bell employees that Hopgood never ordered food.
