Today we have another case of a repeat DUI driver now facing murder charges after a second alleged DUI killed a person in a crash. The case is underway in San Diego. The Escondido page of Patch.com has the story.

Testimony is underway in a preliminary hearing to see whether there is enough evidence to try the Escondido man accused of the accident. The story goes that two women hired a Lyft driver to take them to nightclubs and restaurants for the evening. As the driver was taking the women home, one of them got sick. The driver pulled over on the side of the road and got the woman water.

As he was moving to get back into the vehicle, a car driven by the accused struck the parked car and crushed him. He died at the scene. The two women were also injured and now suffer from memory problems regarding the crash.
