L.A. Man Arrested For Felony DUI

KHTS AM 1220 FM 98.1 Hometown Station reported that a felony DUI suspect was arrested on Tuesday, November 10 in Canyon Country after a single-vehicle accident that injured the suspect’s passenger.

The incident occurred Tuesday evening around 11:50 p.m. when reportedly a white Dodge Challenger collided with the center median of Soledad Canyon Road near its intersection with Prairie Lane, and then collided with a tree, according to first responders that responded to the incident.

The driver was a male adult from Los Angeles, 34 years of age, and was outside the vehicle when first responders arrived. The driver informed them that a friend was still trapped inside the vehicle. Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters spent almost an hour trying to extricate the trapped person, who was then transported to a local hospital.

While interviewing the driver, sheriff’s deputies noted he had slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He was given a standard field sobriety test and deputies determined he was under the influence of intoxicants. He was arrested for felony DUI as a result of causing injury to another person.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. His bail was set at $115,000,
