The New York Daily News, TMZ.com, and many other sources reported that King Combs, the son of renowned record executive and musician Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, was involved in an accident in Beverly Hills with a driver who was allegedly driving under the influence (DUI) according to reports.
The accident occurred early Wednesday morning in Beverly Hills. Combs was driving his red Ferrari on Sunset Boulevard when an allegedly drunk driver in a Tesla electric vehicle smashed into him, according to preliminary reports. Video of the incident showed the Ferrari to be likely totaled, with airbags deployed and severe damage to the rear driver’s side sector of the vehicle. King Combs suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene of the accident.
The Tesla driver was captured on video stumbling through a field sobriety test administered by responding law enforcement and was taken away in handcuffs after the accident. While the Beverly Hills Police Department declined to comment on the case, the driver was reportedly arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI.)
King Combs, in addition to being the son of a titan of the hip-hop music genre, is himself an up-and-coming rapper, having recorded with Chris Brown, Pop Smoke, and Teyana Taylor.
