Head-On Collision in Pico Rivera

DUI accidents are usually more tragic than accidents where neither of the parties is suspected of DUI. This is primarily because people who are drunk have a tendency to drive faster and more erratically than those who are not. Sometimes, alcohol leads to head-on collisions.

Such was the case in Pico Rivera not too long ago. Two men were carpooling to work early one Monday morning. They were traveling to the beef plant, most likely chatting and getting into the swing of the morning drive. 4am is the perfect time for a first shift worker.

But they never made it to work.

The car that the two men were in, a Honda, crashed head-on into a Cadillac driven by a man allegedly driving under the influence. The two men were killed at the scene, and the alleged drunk driver was rushed to the hospital with life-changing injuries.

It’s not sure what charges will be filed in this case, but the driver of the Cadillac will most likely end up with DUI charges. There is also the possibility that he will be facing vehicular manslaughter charges, as well.
