Fatal DUI Crash Linked to Former WWE Star

The New York Post reports that former WWE star Sunny Sytch is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol when she caused a three-car accident.

A spokesperson for the Ormond Beach Police Department told reporters that on March 25 in Volusia County, Florida, 49-year-old Tammy “Sunny” Sytch was driving a 2012 Mercedes at a high rate of speed on Highway 1 when her vehicle collided with a 2013 Kia Sorento that was stopped at a traffic signal. In a chain reaction, the Sorento crashed into a Yukon directly in front of it that was also waiting at the traffic light.

Emergency crews, including police, fire, and paramedics, responded to the scene. The 75-year-old male driver of the Kia was rushed to an area hospital to treat life-threatening injuries. Despite all life-saving efforts, the man died as a result of the injuries he suffered in the crash.

Suspected of DUI, Sytch submitted to a blood test conducted at the scene. Authorities submitted the test to toxicology for analysis and were awaiting results.

According to a report by TMZ, “OBPD has requested an expedited time frame on the processing of the results, a police spokesperson said. “And the results will be made available as soon as the department receives them.”

Court documents indicate that since 2012 Sytch has had six previous DUI arrests. In 2018, she served eight months in jail after three arrests.

Because there was a fatality involved in this incident, authorities will likely refer the case to the District Attorney’s office.

This is a developing story.
