DUI Suspect Crashes Car Into House

KHTS AM 1220 FM 98.1 Santa Clarita Hometown Station reported on a DUI suspect that crashed his car into a home in Canyon Country Saturday, leading to his arrest. 

The call to first responders came in around 3:00 a.m. Saturday about a traffic collision that involved a structure on the 16000 block of Nearview Drive in Canyon Countrt, according to spokespeople for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Those spokespeople stated that upon arrival, first responders confirmed a vehicle had suffered from a kinetic interaction, at velocity, with a house that had two floors. 

The driver of the vehicle that impacted the house was arrested and booked on DUI charges, according to a representative of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. While no major injuries were reported as a result of the incident, responding units did request building and safety teams to assess potential structural and building damage as a result of the impact. 

Pasadenanow.com reported on a police pursuit in Pasadena that ended in the arrest of a possibly intoxicated driver last weekend. 

The incident occurred on Saturday around 2:20 a.m. near Raymond Avenue and Tremont Street when a short police pursuit ended in an arrest, according to a Pasadena Police Department spokesperson. The chase continued for about a mile before the suspect abandoned his car and ran on foot. He was booked on suspicion of DUI and felony evasion of police.
