An auto crash was reported at about 2:09 AM in the area of Roscoe Boulevard and Irondale Avenue according to LAPD’s Valley Traffic Bureau.

Donald Parmar heard and witnessed the aftermath of the crash. He described it as sounding like someone hitting a brick wall with their car.

A Dodge Challenger, driven by a male who was speeding first sideswiped a Subaru. He then collided with a Ford Escape, which was sent into a tree. The Dodge continued down Roscoe and caught fire with the occupants trapped inside.

A woman in her 40’s who had been driving the Ford Escape was pronounced dead on the scene. The passengers in the Dodge had to be extricated by Los Angeles Fire Department and taken to the hospital. Two suffered from serious injuries and one was in critical condition according to police,

The driver of the Subaru was not injured.

Police believe that the driver of the Dodge may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. Speed is also being investigated as a factor in the accident.
