The Fast and the Furious franchise is seven movies strong now, with more on the horizon. Most people remember that one of the stars of the franchise, Paul Walker, tragically lost his life in an automobile accident in 2013. Now, another one of the actors in the franchise is facing trouble over DUI charges.
Cole Hauser played the villain in the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious, which was the second movie in the franchise. The movie starred Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson, but notably lacked action star Vin Diesel, who would later return to the franchise.
Hauser, 41, was allegedly driving at excessive speeds and was very nearly involved in an accident on the LA Freeway. He had been drifting in an out of lanes along the roadway. Police pulled the actor over and he subsequently failed a sobriety test.
The actor was handcuffed and arrested for DUI.
His bond was set at $15,000.
Cole Hauser is a TV and movie actor. His screen appearances include Pitch Black, which also starred Vin Diesel; cult classic Dazed and Confused; and A Good Day to Die Hard. His television credits include a stint on ER and several guest starring roles.
Hausers representative did not return phone calls for comment.
