A man from Chula Vista is being charged with DUI and murder after he severed a man’s leg with his vehicle in a curb-hopping accident. The accident happened last year. Police say that he left a bar in his vehicle and crashed into a parked vehicle. He ran, then returned to the scene.

After being confronted by witnesses, he ran off again in his vehicle and crashed over a curb and into a bus stop bench where the deceased was sitting. His leg was severed and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
