BMW Driver Caught on Camera in Terrible Accident

Witness testimony in a DUI case can be difficult to defeat. Camera evidence is even harder. For one unlucky BMW driver in Los Angeles, both of them may put him into prison. Here’s what we know.

A car was parked on the side of East Vernon Avenue with the hazard lights on. Several people were around the car trying to figure out what was wrong with it. A two-month-old was inside the car, strapped into a seat.

The camera shows the people waving to a driver just before to stop just before impact, crushing the rear end of the parked car. The BMW then swerved and kept going, hitting another pedestrian before stopping.

In total, five were injured. The young child only had minor injuries, but one of the injured had a leg severed. The driver of the BMW has been arrested for felony DUI for his actions. Police are also investigating if the driver hit any other vehicles or people before striking the parked car. All of the injured were taken to hospitals.

Needless to say, this driver has a lot to answer for. Even if DUI is disproven, there are plenty of injuries and possible civil cases to account for. A DUI conviction will almost certainly make a judge rule against the driver. This will turn out to be a very expensive mistake.
